JOURNEY TO THE CENTRE OF THE EARTH
- By
Daisy Campbell with Ken Campbell
All
aboard the coach! A
bunch of school-kids set off on a school trip to Alton Towers –
or are they really all heading for a destination altogether more
sinister and frightening? And
is Miss Sheehan in on the plot?
Daisy
Campbell and Ken Campbell’s hilarious comedy was commissioned by
the National Theatre for inclusion in the 2006 Shell
‘Connections’ festival of plays for young people.

- BURN
- A
play by Deborah Gearing

This
is the story of Joey Hawk, alias ‘Birdman’. Fifteen years
old, no family, no friends - a loner with nothing to lose.
Set
on the banks of a murky river, the friends he never had
narrate the story of his last dramatic day.
First
performed at the National Theatre as part of the NT-Shell
Connections 2005 season, this powerful and inspiring play is a
unique portrait of teenage life, drawn with startling and
refreshing honesty – a tragi-comedy of our times, stark,
sensitive and hugely thought-provoking.
Both
were performed on Sun
June 24th 2007
